YOUTUBE TOOL
Kōseki no Kuni
Publisher.
An in-house tool for publishing and managing the videos Vaunt produces on 鉱石の国 (Kōseki no Kuni, “Land of Ores”), the YouTube channel the company runs.
About this tool
Vaunt runs 鉱石の国 (Kōseki no Kuni, “Land of Ores”), a YouTube channel about the history and culture of minerals and ores. Kōseki no Kuni Publisher is an in-house tool Vaunt built to publish the videos it produces to this channel and to manage them.
It is used by Vaunt staff on Vaunt’s own computer, signed in to Vaunt’s own Google account. It is not a service offered to the public, and it is never used with anyone else’s account or channel.
What it does
- Uploads videos as private and schedules when they go public
- Adds captions and thumbnails to the uploaded videos
- Updates the title, description, tags and AI-use disclosure of uploaded videos, and checks their visibility
- Confirms before uploading that the destination is the Kōseki no Kuni channel
- Reads viewing figures for the uploaded videos (views, watch time, audience retention, traffic sources and similar) to improve future scripts
Why it needs access to Google data
The tool asks Vaunt’s Google account for these permissions:
- Upload YouTube videos (youtube.upload): to publish the videos Vaunt produces.
- Manage YouTube videos (youtube.force-ssl): to add captions and thumbnails, update video details, and check video visibility and the destination channel.
- View YouTube Analytics reports (yt-analytics.readonly): to read viewing figures for the uploaded videos. This is read-only; nothing is changed.
How the data is handled is set out in the Kōseki no Kuni Publisher privacy policy.
