privacy policy.
This policy explains the information Kōseki no Kuni Publisher handles through the YouTube API Services. It is an English translation; if it differs from the Japanese version, the Japanese version prevails.
Use of the YouTube API Services
Kōseki no Kuni Publisher (“the tool”) is an in-house tool that Vaunt (合同会社バウント, “we”) uses to run the YouTube channel Kōseki no Kuni, and it uses the YouTube API Services. Anyone using the tool agrees to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. For how Google handles information, see the Google Privacy Policy.
Information we collect
With permission granted through our Google account, the tool collects the following:
- Our channel: its channel ID and name
- Videos we uploaded: video IDs, visibility status and AI-use disclosure
- Viewing figures for our channel (YouTube Analytics): views, watch time, average percentage viewed, numbers of likes, comments and shares, subscribers gained, audience retention and traffic sources
- Authorization issued by Google: access and refresh tokens
Viewing figures are totals per video and contain nothing that identifies individual viewers. The tool does not collect other people’s channels or videos, or the text of comments.
How we use it
We use this information only to publish and manage our own videos and to improve our scripts. It is not used for advertising or any other purpose.
Storage
- Authorization tokens are stored only on the Vaunt computer that runs the tool, in the tool’s settings folder. They are never placed in source code repositories or external services.
- Video IDs and upload records are kept in our production records on that computer so we can manage the videos we uploaded.
- Viewing figures are stored on that computer to improve our scripts. If we keep them for more than 30 days, we confirm every 30 days that access is still authorized.
- Other YouTube data, such as visibility status, is used for checks at the time and is not stored for more than 30 days.
Sharing
We do not sell this information, and we do not provide it to third parties except where required by law. When reviewing scripts, we may have the AI tool we use for our work (Claude, by Anthropic) read summaries of the viewing figures.
Cookies and advertising
The tool does not use cookies and does not show advertising or third-party content. The only things it stores on the device are the authorization tokens and records described above. For cookies on this website, see our privacy notice.
Revoking access and deletion
Access granted to the tool can be revoked at any time from Third-party apps and services in your Google Account (Google’s security settings). When access is revoked, we delete the stored authorization tokens and viewing figures within 30 days. If you ask us to delete them, we do so within 7 days.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Vaunt’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
